Salient Features of First General Body Meeting

The First General Body Meeting (GBM) was held on 30 Nov 2000 at Rane Auditorium. It was attended by 38 Officers, 21 JCOs and 124 OR. The GBM was chaired by LT Gen A K Puri, PVSM, AVSM, the Colonel Commandant Bombay Sappers. The important decisions taken during this meeting were as follows:-
 

  • Importance of giving mementos to the members at the time of their retirement and membership cards was discussed and the house endorsed this important issue.

  • It was also decided to hold the Annual GBM in Jan to coincide with VC day functions.

  • The Association will have only permanent members on its roll. The temporary members now on the roll of the Association will be given option to become permanent members by paying the balance amount.
